Identity Protection, Phishing and Fraud
Identity Protection
Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personal information without
your permission to commit fraud or other crimes. You can take precautions to
help protect your identity.
For more information on identity theft, please visit the FTC's Web site at
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/idtheft/.
Phishing
The Cincinnati Insurance Companies will not send you an e-mail requesting
personal information (such as your Social Security number) or link you to our
Web site to request information, unless we reference correspondence that you
initiated. If you receive unsolicited e-mail from The Cincinnati Insurance
Companies, please forward the e-mail to privacy@cinfin.com.
For more information on phishing, please see the Department of Justice's
report and recommendations at www.usdoj.gov/criminal/fraud/docs/phishing.pdf.
Fraud
Cincinnati Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries have a responsibility
to shareholders, policyholders and society in general to investigate
allegations of fraud. We believe those individuals who attempt to defraud must
be identified and reported to the proper authorities. You can report any
suspicious activity by clicking on the link below.
